Thursday 17th March – bike **** – Around Felixstowe including lunch at the water ski jetty – sunny and mild.

Sunrise prom walk ***

After yesterdays covering of dust from the Sahara, I thought there might be a nice red sunrise this morning so headed down to the seafront at 5.30. To be honest it was pretty uninspiring mainly due to a large bank of cloud on the horizon which remained fairly grey:( It was nice to be out and about early, quiet too, not very warm too with no sign of anything of interested I headed up onto the cliff top to return home as the sun reached the top of the clouds and I managed to get a few pics before heading home to warm up!

Bike.

The good weather continued all day, did my exercises in the warm sunshine in the back garden in wall to wall sunshine while Mag enjoyed repotting some of her seedling which are coming along really well:) I then made a sandwich and we decided to head on our bikes to eat it by the River Deben at Felixstowe Ferry. Down to the prom with the flat sea sparkling but it was slow going as pretty busy. Around to the much quieter section at The Dip leading to the Ferry, there was someone sitting at our lunch spot so we carried onto the boat yard and out onto the Deben path. It is quite a long bumpy ride to the picnic benches at the water ski jetty where we enjoyed the peace and quiet enjoying a yummy sandwich with stunning views with just a few birds for company! We then carried on to Falkenham and back to Felixstowe, taking Candlet Lane home for the usual cuppa and cake. The good weather continues for several days with Saturday still looking good for a windsurf at Brasdfield!
